BCDLAA Executive – Past President

My name is David Truss and I am Principal with School District 43, Coquitlam. I began working for Coquitlam Open Learning as VP in 2011. I spent one and a half years working out of our adult learning centre and have also been involved with a blended learning high school, the Inquiry Hub, both in design and implementation. My interest in blended learning stems back over 20 years, while still teaching at both Middle and High School levels. I believe that public DL helps us create relationships in our school districts that can pave the way towards more innovative teaching and learning in all schools. I hope that the BCDLAA can help us all advocate for a public system that is both effective and viable. After 3 years as a Director, 2 years as President, and 2 years as Past President, and then another 2 years as President, it is an honour to serve once again in the Past President role of the BCDLAA, and contribute to our common goals and interests.
