BCDLAA Executive – Director

Ten years ago, my views on education and learning shifted, as I completed my Masters degree in Learning and Technology from Royal Roads University. Eight years ago, as vice-principal of YouLearn.ca I started to see the potential of distributed and blended learning. During this time, I worked with some creative colleagues, developed our K-9 learning community, innovated our at-a-distance delivery model and learned to personalize instruction and assessment through DL and technology. Also, I sat on the Premier’s Technology Council Roundtable, was a member of the provincial DL quality review team and presented interprovincially on topics such as personalized and blended learning. For the past two years, I was principal of Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School in SD#53. I’m excited to be back in DL with a fresh perspective as principal of YouLearn.ca.
